D-Max

The D-Max operates on a different philosophy from most vehicles in the personal transport space. It rides with the firmness you would expect from a load-bearing platform, cabin noise at highway speeds is noticeable, and the wide body requires adjustment if most of your driving happens in congested city areas.
Where it earns its reputation is everywhere else. Build quality is genuinely robust, the 1.9-litre diesel returns 14–16 km/l under mixed conditions, and the load-carrying capacity is in a different league from anything that competes on price. These are not just numbers — they translate directly into lower running costs and fewer compromises when the vehicle is actually put to work.
It finds its strongest case with buyers who need one vehicle to cover both business and personal use. Transporting goods, managing deliveries, weekend family use, and occasional highway runs — the D-Max handles all of it without needing a second vehicle in the fleet. For Tier-2 city business owners especially, that versatility has real financial logic behind it.
For pure personal daily commuting in a metro, however, the trade-offs in ride comfort and manoeuvrability are harder to justify. There are better tools for that job.
